Lois joined Mortenson in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive experience as an executive leader and CFO across a diverse range of industries, business models, and ownership structures.
She oversees Mortenson’s finance, accounting, treasury, planning, and information technology functions, and serves on several key committees, including investment, risk management, properties, private equity, compliance, and development.
Prior to Mortenson, Lois served as CFO of Ceridian Corporation, a leading provider of cloud-based human capital management solutions. She previously held CFO roles at Capella Education Company and Deluxe Corporation, where she led major strategic transformations, drove significant growth, scaled operations, and guided capital restructurings, IPOs, and mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
A graduate of Augustana University, Lois has served on numerous for-profit and nonprofit boards. She currently serves on the boards of Donnelley Financial Solutions (NYSE: DFIN) and A.O. Smith (NYSE: AOS).
She is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Women Corporate Directors (WCD), Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA), and Financial Executives International (FEI).
