Lois joined Mortenson in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer. She is an experienced executive leader and CFO across multiple industries, business models, and ownership and capital structures.
Lois is responsible for Mortenson’s finance, accounting,
treasury, planning, and information technology functions, and serves on the company’s investment, risk management, properties, private equity, compliance, and development committees.
Prior to joining Mortenson, Lois was the CFO of Ceridian Corporation, a leading Human Capital Management cloud-based software developer and provider. Before her role at Ceridian, Lois held CFO roles at Capella Education Company and Deluxe Corporation. In these organizations, she led and oversaw significant strategic transformations, unprecedented growth and scaling of infrastructures, capital restructurings, IPOs, along with mergers, acquisitions & divestitures.
Lois, a graduate of Augustana University, has served on the boards of various for-profit and not-for-profit organizations over her career. She is currently serving on the board of directors of Donnelley Financial Services (NYSE: DFIN) and A.O. Smith (NYSE: AOS).
Lois is affiliated with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Women Corporate Directors (WCD), Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA), and Financial Executives International (FEI).
