Ted joined Mortenson in 2026 and serves as Vice President of Finance for Mortenson Properties, Inc. (MPI) and the Vermilion Group. In this role, he partners closely with both businesses as a strategic finance leader, providing insight across financial planning and analysis as well as capital allocation.
Ted brings nearly 20 years of finance experience, with a career that began at Best Buy and Target before transitioning to investment banking. He spent the past 11 years with Piper Sandler in Minneapolis, where he developed deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, financing, capital markets, and strategic advisory.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. Ted lives in Wayzata, Minnesota, with his wife and their four children. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, spending time at the lake, and downhill skiing.
