Tom is a seasoned investment professional with more than 25 years of experience across private equity, family office, and direct investing platforms. His career has been defined by a consistent focus on partnering with founder- and family-owned businesses, driving operational excellence, and creating long-term value through thematic, relationship-oriented investing.
Tom began his career at Lehman Brothers and later Chicago Growth Partners, where he developed a solid foundation in partnering closely with management teams to accelerate growth and build enduring enterprise value.
From 2007 to 2017, Tom was with Baird Capital, where he advanced to Principal and gained extensive experience in control investing and platform development. In 2017, he joined Duchossois Capital Management as Managing Director, co-leading direct investment activities and deploying patient family capital across a diverse range of sectors.
Most recently, Tom was a Senior Partner at The Edgewater Funds, a private equity firm that has raised more than $4 billion in capital commitments since its founding in 2001.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. He serves as Board Member and Treasurer for 21st Century Dad’s Foundation and is on the Misericordia Advisory Board. He is married to his wife Irene and has twin adult sons Mike and John who reside at Misericordia Home in Chicago.
